Texturing Machine

Draw textured yarn (DTY) is produced from polyester or nylon POY through a texturing process that gives the yarn more bulk, a softer feel, and a crimped structure. Compared with flat yarn, it has a fuller appearance and better stretch recovery, which makes it suitable for many different fabric applications.

During production, false twist texturing machines carry out several steps in a continuous process. polyester or nylon POY is heated, drawn, twisted, heat-set, and then untwisted to create a stable textured structure. Through this process, the yarn develops lasting bulk, elasticity, and a more distinct surface feel. Heating conditions can be adjusted according to the type of yarn being produced and the performance needed in the final fabric. This gives manufacturers more flexibility when developing yarns for different textile uses.
